  • Boudoir Photography

    Hi there, ladies!

I'm considering doing a boudoir session but I'm nervous. I overthink things a lot so I have a lot of questions.

I'd love to hear about some other boudoir experiences! What did you like? What did you hate? Did you pick your photographer based on the price, by the reviews, or by the quality of their work? Or was there some other reason you chose them? Does cheaper mean they won't be as good as someone who charges more?

I'm worried since I don't know how to pose and I don't know if I'm sexy enough.

Any feedback is helpful. Thank you in advance!

  • Always pick by the quality of the work then price and pick the best you can afford. Always select a reputable photographer, one with experience in these boudoir shots. They will drape you, direct you in how to pose, set the lighting, select the mood and take many many pictures. They will not do porno type shots, they will all be discrete but provocative. Have fun. Get your hair and make-up done before hand and let them know that you are going to professional shots. They'll do your makeup slightly differently than if you were going out for dinner. Have fun.
That which we forget may as well never really happened.

    • I agree with Claret. Sensible advice.

Also, I am sure you're sexy enough, Pam Brace! Just believe you are when you're being photographed. A professional photographer will find your right angles and play up your best features. Just be yourself and follow his/her direction. Look at the photographer as the director of a film. It is his/her job to make the characters shine and charismatic. Plus, there'll be loads of photographs to choose from. Do search around for the right photographer and you'll have pictures you can treasure.

      I do hope I've helped!
