  • I've been battling headaches

I've been battling headaches for a few weeks now. It all started on the sixth of January when I had my first day of periods. I have never in my life had headaches before so it's really bizarre. The pain is located on the right side of my head, right above my ear and it radiates into my right ear and cheekbone. So sometimes it feels like either an ear ache or a tooth ache. I've been taking Paracetamol and it helps a little. The pain has been so bad that some nights I've woken up cause of it and have had to take a pill to go back to sleep.
I haven't been ill or anything so it can't be cause of that. I was thinking maybe it's cause of my eyes since I spend quite a lot of time on my laptop but I've been doing it for a long time and never had headaches cause of it so I don't think that's that either. Also, don't think it's cause of stress since I've been depressed in my life and I didn't have any headaches back then either.
Anyone has any ideas what could be the cause?

  • Change in diet? Change in meds? Change in sleep behaviors (not enough/too much)? Increase/decrease in caffeine consumption? Headaches can come on quickly after years of doing the same old thing day in and day out.

Everybody should push away from their desk, stand up and take a few steps at least three times each hour. We, as a species, are not sedentary animals...we have become sedentary and it is not good for any of us.

Drink more water...sip 16 ounces an hour, get up and move around, get some fresh air during your day, expose your body (arms, face, legs) to 15 minutes of full sun each day that it is out and consider getting a filter screen for your monitor. These are the things I would try first if I woke up in your shoes.
