    First thing, I have to say that you are all so amazing!!! I treasure your help and advice so much!!

    My question is... I am 48 years old and having my first cataract surgery on the 11th of April. I know I won't be able to wear makeup for a month (the other eye is being done on the 25th, so 2 weeks makeup free for each eye), but can I still use my day and night face creams? I'm assuming nothing close to the eye. My instruction book stresses that no hair products other than shampoo/conditioner are to be used afterwards either. Can anyone offer some advice? Thank you so much!!

  • Cataract surgery

    I have had a cataract surgery 1 year back. I got it done from Toronto Eye Surgery Centre. The same was my situation. Face creams and eye make up are the things without which I can't even think of. It worried me a lot and I just asked my surgeon. He said not to use eyeliner or mascara for 1 week. He wanted to reduce the chance of my eye from getting irritated. Even though it was hard for me to obey him, I felt so satisfied because they were all very caring about the eye and my overall well-being.
