  • I think I need eye surgery in a foreign country

I have a lazy eye. Basically, my left eye is pointing the other direction which can be confusing to people who I meet for the first time. I’ve been told countless of times that people don’t know which direction I’m looking at. I think I need to get some eye surgery done with this cause it’s been bothering me for a long time. I’ve been told that there’s a foreign country that offers cheaper rates in eye care compared here in the states. Any suggestions?

  • I don't have any suggestions, but my close friend has a lazy eye. I understand it can be very distressing. I think you should only have surgery on your eye if YOU feel you need it. Don't let anyone pressure or force you into in. Plus, there are many eye surgeons in the USA: you don't need to go to a foreign country. I realize it'd be cheaper, but you don't know the standards you'd face if you had your eye done in a foreign country. You want to know the law of the country. Because - heaven forbid - if something went wrong, you would need to know your rights. Anyhow, I won't go on, but I do think I've made valid points.
