  • Thrush is driving me crazy!

I was in hospital in October with meningitis, a couple days after coming out I developed thrush, I then had it 3 times in 4 weeks so my doctor cave me fluconazole to take once a week for 6 months - it worked, for 4 months by then it was coming back I would take a tablet and 2 days after it had gone, then 2 days I had nothing and it would creep back. It got to the point the tablets had no effect so we changed to the strongest pessery available - it hasn't worked once!
I have been on and off antibiotics since due to various infections to the point I was on steroids as I couldn't breathe.
It has got to the point I can't sit still, around my vagina has started bleeding from where it is so sore. I can't use the cream as I have sensitive skin and it burns and I end up with a huge rash and get all swollen.
This is driving me mad as it just won't go away!!! Any ideas on how to just reduce the itching? My doctor has said they have no idea how to get rid of it now and they will have to do some research to find a possible answer!
They did swabs and it is definitely thrush - nothing else

Any suggestions I will try! I don't use scented soaps, always have loose fitting clothes, cotton underwear and I eat a healthy diet.

    Thank you in advance!
