  • Yeast Infection? No pain, no discharge, no itching, just an uncomfortable sensation.

Hi, as stated I have a very uncomfortable sensation in my vaginal opening area. It gets worse when I have to pee, and peeing itself is a little uncomfortable. But its hard to call the sensation a pain... its not painful just VERY uncomfortable. I think touching it makes it worse, but there is a sort of urge to touch/scratch it. And there is no itching, no discharge either. The area might be a little red/swollen, its hard to tell though.

Im sorry the sensation is hard to describe.. it gets worse when I am pushing with my vagina too.. I'm not sure what this could be. Its been going on about a week and I was hoping it would go away but it has not.

Would trying Vagisil or Monostat be ok even if I am not sure this is a yeast infection?

If it were a UTI wouldnt I be having back pains?

And could it be just from irritation to the area that will get better on its own?

I am not sexually active and never have been.

Thanks in advance for any help!

  • ESP without any sexual activity there's a good chance that its just natural irritation that will go away on its own in a few more days. I've had this a few occasions right after I ovulated, basically right after a big hormonal shift. After these shifts your cervical fluid can change its ph & different things like that making it "strong" & irritating. You can try monistat if it just won't go away. Just don't use it often without confirmed YI, when you really need it later it could be less effective. But if I need to only spot treat- like at the opening- I get the cheap monistat that isn't a suppository but a cream so I can just rub it on the areas I need & it might at least ease the symptoms until the strong cf is gone! • Just after ovulation? Does your period happen right after ovulation is over? My period just started yesterday so if thats accurate it might fit with what happened to you. I think I will try some monistat cream, its uncomfortable and ill be traveling in a week so i really need things back to normal...

I really appreciate your reply and help
