  • Septate Hymen Broke After Sex?

So, I had sex for well, the second time. I have a pretty thick hymen, so it didn't break the first time. But it did the second. I have a septate hymen, and I can't find anything online about what to do. It's 2 days later and it's still bleeding. (It's not bleeding heavily, but it does happen to still be bleeding.) I don't know what to do.

  • Welcome to WHI. From what I read online, it is probably best to consult with a gynecologist for a septate hymen. Minor surgery may be an option.
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
