  • Never ending period

So, this is gunna be a long one. In 2013 I went on the depo provera shot and I got it every three months for 4 years straight. The shot stopped my period completely (which at the time I loved). On the 4th year I was noticing some pretty severe side effects so I decided to go off it, let my period return to a normal cycle and then possibly choose a better birth control more suited to my current lifestyle. It took 11 months for my period to return after going off the shot, and now, it’s been 11 weeks and I’m STILL on my period. I have been bleeding for 11 weeks straight and I don’t know how I’m still alive honestly. Has anyone experienced something similar??

  • go to the gyno. i've had an on/off period for three years.

just had some polyps removed. not sure if thats going to help. ive also been put on medroxyprogesterone. A gyno can guide you more than anyone here. Your hormones need to be checked, and a vaginal ultrasound.
