Ask your physician, preferably a ob/gyn or hormone specialist to test your levels.

You'll need a blood test, organized by your doctor. I had a hormone imbalance myself and was put on medication. This helped enormously. I actually lost a lot of weight once my hormones were back to normal. I'd definitely talk to your doctor and see if he/she can organize a blood test. Funnily enough, I have a blood test too in two weeks time. I've had millions of them over the years!

Kristen, hormonal imbalances can cause many problems, some mental changes, some physical. What are you experiencing, exactly?

atskitty2 I think I am experiencing physical and mentally, both type of changes. Like mood swings, not gaining weight, feeling weakness, joint pain and getting irritated at tiny things.
