    Music Therapy

Music therapy has been found to treat mental health problems such as schizophrenia, autism and other psychiatric illnesses. They soothe the senses and help patients relax and experience peace of mind. Happy music encourages healing inside and out. Do you agree? What other natural ways can you suggest?

I LOVE music. I listen to music daily. It helps clear and calm my mind and just make me feel good. I love all different genres of music. It isn't an addiction: it's a passion. And you're right: music CAN help people with mental health problems.

To go along with the music, dancing!!! If I find myself falling into that depressive state I pay attention to what I'm listening to first. If I'm listening to sad, melancholy stuff I change it to something upbeat. My go to is Hip Hop Power Workout channel on Pandora. I turn it up and DANCE!!!!

Music is great, and it's also one of those therapies you can do by yourself rather than going and sitting down with a stranger which is awesome. It's amazing how you can listen to one song and your mood completely changes. Annnd it can promote basically any mood. I've got a few go-to songs when I need a cry or when I am angry, or of course when I want to cheer myself up (Michael Jackson always works for that one).

Hello everybody. What a good positive topic on the forum. Music therapy is a clinical and evidence-based use of musical interventions to achieve individualized goals within the therapeutic relationship of a qualified specialist who has undergone an approved music therapy program. I read this on a smart site.

Music therapy is an established medical profession in which music is used in therapeutic relationships to meet the physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs of people. After assessing the strengths and needs of each client, a qualified music therapist provides the indicated treatment, including creating, singing, moving and / or listening to music. Thanks to musical participation in the therapeutic context, clients' abilities are strengthened and transferred to other areas of their lives. Music therapy also provides opportunities for communication, which can be useful for those who find it difficult to express themselves in words. Research in the field of music therapy confirms its effectiveness in many areas, such as: general physical rehabilitation and movement facilitation, increasing motivation for people to participate in their treatment, providing emotional support to clients and their families and providing opportunities for expression of feelings. You can endlessly listen to music and get treatment. Of course, heavy music will not be like music therapy. I often take off stress and just rest for good music. I advise everyone. This is cool.

There is a lot of scientific knowledge that music affects the brain and - depending on the type of music - can release stress and anxiety. I have found this on a personal level. I use music to reduce stress and keep my mood up. I have always listened to music and always will. Many people find the same, whether they're listening to Mozart or heavy metal.
