has anyone hid food from other family members?

admit am addicted to a particular food
husband said something to me last week and not fond of anyone telling me what to do/not to do

so bought my own pkg/hid in fridge
so can eat it without judgement

  • figures got caught so I said that felt judged
and he said he hadn't been judging me but "just stating the facts"

    • Could it be that Amy was the one judging Amy? We can hide food from our mates, but we can't hide from ourselves. **removes psychoanalyst cap**

astute thinking and thought about this since reading above post
however, my response was definitely to whatever husband had said

remember thinking no one's going to tell me what I can or cannot eat

        • remember one argument very early in our marriage
husband walked away and left house
told him that day he was acting like my boss

so rarely ever have arguments because he doesn't boss me around

          • Really? I imagined you two as the traditional family type with the man as the head.

              would say that we are
he just doesn't boss me around

also would say that I no longer have the ability to chance his mind or convince him about major things as I used to
it is must easier for him to say no to me now

              • you know, he is also very clever and think he gets me to do things without bossing me or even asking

                take today, for example
he says "I have so much to do, the yard needs mowed, bushes need trimmed ....."
so while he was eating breakfast with kid, I went out and trimmed all the bushes

                was that his plan?
