From what I have read, it is true. A lot of people are blowing the risks associated with Covid-19 vaccines way out of proportion, IMO.

The risk of blood clots with birth control definitely exists, and I've read the same (that the risks of getting one from birth control is higher than the vaccine) but I believe the overall risk is still really low.

I haven't read any documentation on inflammation related to birth control pills. The risk of blood clots is well documented especially among smokers or obese patients using birth control pills. This is why it's typically not prescribed if you have those factors.
I think it's too early to have exceptionally reliable data on the Covid vaccine.
