Sounds like it goes pretty far. You could try to cut it out for a month and see if you notice a difference.

The plant based stuff is at least passable, if you need to replace. The best ice cream I've ever had in my life was some that my wife made that was vegan. There's some decent stuff at the store nowadays too. I don't drink milk anymore, but when I used to eat cereal I used plant-based milk to avoid the gas milk gives me. Once you acquire the taste for them, they're cool. Homemade almond milk is absolutely delicious and fairly easy to make. The cheeses are just okay. I've never seen dairy free yougurt, but I believe it can be made at home. My wife recently made vegan sour cream and cheese for taco night. Really good stuff.

I've come to notice that no matter what I do I don't get any relief. I'm still dealing with sharp, shooting pain likely from the cysts. I've had the IUD for over a month now .I've contacted my doctor multiple times only to be told to give it time. I'm still bleeding off and on. She informed me I'd have a normal cycle and then I'd go to spotting. Well my "spotting" is more than spotting. I'm not bleeding heavily but it's more than spotting. I haven't been able to have any sort of sex life in months and when I do, I'm fairly disappointed as I usually start bleeding. I don't know what else to do at this point. I've also developed symptoms of depression as this has progressed. I don't feel good hardly at all anymore. I have to wear pads every day again because I don't know what's going to happen during the day.

        Hi winged muse.
Please consider checking out Chinese medicine. Acupuncture and herbal medicine although it tastes yukky can be very effective for treating not only the bleeding but the pain and the depression.
I'm a student (here in australia) and I was able to help many women in the student clinic even though I'm relatively inexperience. If you found a practitioner who was experienced in womens health I think you'd have a real shot at getting relief.

Hey, if you face some serious problems with your period I strongly suggest that you should see a doctor. Please, don't practice self treatment. All the best!

Going back to my doctor Monday for another ultrasound. I'm not brave enough to go routes with medicine I am not familiar with.

Among everything else I've got going on, I've now been dealing with major pain during my cycles. I finally couldn't stand it anymore after my more recent cycle that ended last week and after an ultrasound we found that my Mirena IUD had moved. Per what I could see it looked like it was horizontal instead of vertical. My doctor also told me the arms weren't extended like they should be. I now have to get it removed and I plan to try another one and see if the same thing happens. If it does then I will have to result to a different birth control method. I was told the Mirena wouldn't cure my PCOS which I knew about. I unfortunately had to get a new doctor so I get to tell her the entire story all over again. I can't take the pills or be on the ring due to the hormones in them making me sick. She then suggested the patch and I know that wouldn't be to great for me either with a family history of that one making others sick. I'm hopeful to be able to have it removed and a new one replaced the same day. The mirena has helped me quite a bit as far as regulating but I know it has made me a bit moodier than normal. Thankfully also the lady who did my most recent ultrasound said my ovaries were looking good, still polycystic but didn't look as bad as the first time so that is at least a plus.

                Best wishes on this.

I have a new Mirena IUD on order. I was told I could have the other one removed and new one replaced the same day so at this point it is the plan. We will see how this time goes. Hopefully I don't have any further issues.
