  • 7 days late on my period but I don’t think I’m pregnant?

Hi, so I’m 20 and I just want a bit of advice really! The last time I had sexual intercourse was the start of January & I took the morning after pill afterwards. I have had a normal period every month when I was supposed to (date wise) but this month I haven’t came on and I’m currently 7 days late? As I’ve had a normal period for the past 3 months and took the morning after pill I’m just wondering what the chances are that I could be pregnant? I really don’t think I am, but now I’m stressing over what could be wrong with my body!! (P.S I’m booking a doctors appointment if it doesnt show by the end of the week) Thank you guys x

  • It sounds like you did what you could to prevent pregnancy with the morning after pill and having normal periods pretty well eliminates the possibility of being pregnant. You could use a home pregnancy test kit to help confirm this and give you more peace of mind. Irregular periods are not uncommon so that may be the reason for being late. Here is a link to a post on Women's Health Interactive about why periods are late: https://www.womens-health.com/11-rea...t-not-pregnant
