FemmeLibre repliedWhat you're describing sounds a lot like a variation on the menstrual cramps that most of us ladies have! I wouldn't be too worried as long as the cramping is as correlated with your flow as you say, but, like WildChild points out, there are definitely things you can do to alleviate the pain.
First off, take a closer look at what sort of food you're eating around this time of the month. Things like processed sugar, caffeine and, for some, dairy products, can make the uterine spasms that cause period cramps more drastic. You might find that cutting back on a certain type of food lessens your pre-period pain.
Exercise does indeed help a lot of people with the sort of pain you describe, as does one particularly delightful sort of exercise - Orgasm! When you orgasm, parts of your reproductive system contract and relax, allowing for a relaxation of cramping muscles. So spending some quality time with your clitoris (no need to find someone else to do this - masturbation is key!) can help you get rid of your pain!
If you keep having pain, or if your pain gets worse, or if your pain extends past your period, get to the gyno. If there is something out of the normal, she or he can hopefully figure it out. As it is, though, you seem to be having a simply symptom of womanhood!

Oww!Is there a doctor in the house?
