  • what is this?

    hi,
    im having some problems.
i get quite itchy down there at times
and it doesn't seem normal. this has been re-occuring
for a couple of months now and i don't know how to
treat the problem. there is also some discharge, but mainly
just discomfort in the area. any ideas as to what this could be?
i am not sexually active so i don't see the problem.
    thanks

  • Have you been checked out for a yeast infection?

    • no i haven't i guess i'm trying to treat it before i see a doctor. i also feel that the area can get a little inflammed and bigger if that makes sense. anyone got any ideas on how to help it?

      • Don't treat for a yeast infection is you aren't sure that you have one. This can cause you more problems than the original one, it will also hamper the doc's diagnosis. Check out information on vulvodynia, lichen sclerosis and lichen planus. All three of these can cause the symptoms you are dealing with.
