Even though I'm on pill, I still got cramps when I get my period, and they can hurt an awful lot. I've tried painkillers, but they'd only soothe it for awhile and then come back. So yeah, ladies, how do you cope with your menstrual pain? I'm on my period right now and hurting like hell.

If the pain meds you use only help for a couple hours, you may want to try a different medication or check your dosage.
Hope you feel better.

Heat can help to alleviate your cramps because it relaxes the muscles that are contracting and causing the pain. I created a portable heating pad that provides heated relief in the front and back. Happy to give a discount code if you're interested! You can find it at [link removed by mod]Last edited by Wednesday L.F.; 02-09-2023, 04:11 PM.

Menstrual pain, also known as dysmenorrhea, can be a distressing experience for many women. Here are some ways to cope with menstrual pain:- Pain relief medication: Over-the-counter pain relief medication such as ibuprofen or naproxen can help reduce pain and inflammation.
- Heat therapy: Applying heat to the lower abdomen can help relieve menstrual cramps. Use a hot water bottle or heating pad.
- Exercise: Regular exercise can help reduce menstrual pain by releasing endorphins, which are natural painkillers.
- Relaxation techniques: Practicing relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or yoga can help reduce stress and ease menstrual pain.
- Dietary changes: Certain foods such as caffeine, alcohol, and processed foods can exacerbate menstrual pain. Opt for a healthy and balanced diet.
- Supplements: Some supplements such as omega-3 fatty acids and magnesium can help reduce menstrual pain.
