atskitty2 repliedI think you should, just to be sure but I think it's probably just a heat rash or something similar. It could be an allergic type rash and swelling also. Best to talk it over with someone who can discuss it with you in real time, and take a look if need be.

Anonimo repliedThe red dots can appear and remain for a few days but then they go away
the swelling usually goes down in a few hours but while there is is really irritating
the red dots are more frequent then the swelling
so I should go see a doctor?

atskitty2 repliedHow long are the "red dots", as you described them, visible once they appear? And the swelling, does it resolve in a few hours or a day or so? Is it around the time of your period?
You could call your doctor's office, and ask to speak to the nurse. If there's no older woman you know and trust to go to. If your school has a nurse on site, talk to her/him. If you're uncomfortable talking to your dad about this, ask him to take you to the doctor, as you have something private to discuss with the doctor about feminine hygiene. I suspect he'd be happy to do that.
I suspect it's nothing too concerning, but I think you should talk it over with someone who can really discuss this more in depth with you than I can here. Even though you're not sexually active, you could still have a yeast infection or something happening that needs to be addressed.

Anonimo repliedI’m an able to talk to my mum as it’s just me and my dad, it’s been happening for 6 or so months but the swelling occurs only sometimes
I wear mostly cotton undies some are not cotton. There isn’t a particular time when I notice it it happens at random but I get really itchy and sometimes the swelling occurs
i haven’t changed anything in regards to soaps and stuff

atskitty2 repliedHi! Thanks for coming to us for guidance, I hope we can help.
Can you speak with your mom or another trusted adult woman, like an auntie or the mom of a friend? I know it's a bit embarrassing, but we all have things to learn about our bodies, and we have all been through it.
What you describe makes me think of a heat rash, except the swelling is less typical I think. How long has this been happening? Do you wear cotton undies? Have you recently changed bath soaps or laundry soap? Perfume?
Do you notice it at any certain time? After exercise or wearing nylon or polyester.

Reply to Underwear or not?
I do — but I'm so prone to UTIs (thanks, menopause!) that I'm afraid not to. I USED to skip underwear years ago, but it's been a LONG time.
