  • Anyone Have A High Heel Fetish Or Know Someone Who Does?

High heel fetishes are surprisingly common but many people don’t really talk about them because having a fetish can feel “taboo” in a way.

(Pro tip: They’re pretty normal, actually!)

High heels can be a real turn-on for men and women alike, so if you have a fetish for heels, you’re certainly not alone. While people develop a high heel fetish for different reasons, they all have one thing in common — a sexual attraction to the shoes and/or the people who wear them.

But what causes a high heel fetish, how common is it (really), and why do people find high heels to be so sexy? You can read more about it in my article, High Heel Fetish: Why Are Sky-High Shoes A Sexual Turn-On?

You can read the full article by clicking here: www.womens-health.com/high-heel-fetish

Have you had any experience with a high heel fetish (yours, or someone else’s)? Did it feel weird at all or were you okay with it?

Personally, I lack the grace to wear high heels anywhere, let alone the bedroom. The rare times I have worn them, they typically led to unforeseen embarrassments of the breaking-a-heel-on-stage-in-front-of-hundreds-of-people kind. Funny? Yes. Sexy? NO.

  • I don't think my affection for high heels rises to the level of a fetish, but I definitely enjoy my heels. I love the look of them, and I love the way I **used to** feel wearing them. I think the way it elongates the leg and accentuates the muscles in the leg is one factor for my attraction. And what we typically wear with heels is another factor.
Confidence is evident when wearing heels and that makes wearing heels very sexy.

I don't wear them often any more, but I do miss them!

    • I don't personally know anyone who has a high heel fetish, and I also lack the grace to wear high heels at all! Balance is a bit of a struggle for me, ha. I definitely wish I could wear heels sometimes, though; they can elevate a look, and as someone who's 4'11", I could use the height boost!

Still, I think a lot of people feel confident and attractive when wearing heels, which in turn makes you more attractive to others, even if they don't have a fetish for heels specifically. It makes sense that people find them a turn-on.

Hah! I know the feeling. I think high heels can be really beautiful — on other people. If I tried to wear them, I would be headed for certain disaster.

The closest I ever get to heels are chunky wedges that offer a little more stability. Still, that's the exact type of shoe that broke on me during a presentation I had to give at a high school graduation a few years back. I wore a cute little dress with these adorable 4" wedge sandals — totally killing the look. I felt one shoe kind of give way as I walked TO the podium, but the entire bottom of it broke off entirely after I took two steps away from the podium to return to my seat. (Luckily, I didn't fall... but I bent over to grab it and held it up like a prize for the world to see before casually limping back to my chair like it was NBD.)

So apparently, not even THAT type of shoe is a safe bet!! Stilettos or "sexy" heels? I'd probably break my ankle, or worse.

        • So this is going to run very counter to what most feel, but for me, high heels are a complete turn off!

          Yep, I said it...

In fact, whenever I used to go out to clubs or parties or with friends, it was the women who were dressed DOWN, looked more basic, and weren't all dolled up that REALLY turned me on.

I get the exact opposite reaction to women in heels -- rather than being turned on, it disinterests me and makes me think of high maintenance, overdressing, and trying too hard.

I have nothing against heels, and completely get why men and women love them for their own reasons, it was just nothing that ever appealed to me personally.

You know what REALLY gets me going?

Seeing a woman with no makeup, hair in a bun or ponytail, yoga pants and sneakers, and working out or sweaty....

It is 100X more erotic, sexy, and speaks to me more than any high heels ever did or could.

          C'est La Vie!

          • JonnyR I actually think that's very common with men. I certainly get a lot more attention from men when I'm out in casual clothes, than when I am decked out with hair and make-up. When I went out to clubs, back in the day, I got tons more attention if I showed up in khaki shorts and a ball cap, than if I wore the typical club wear.
Current bf prefers the comfy look, and probably most my male friends do. I think most men appreciate the woman who can be attractive to them, without working too hard at it.

It’s funny, because when I see women in heels in magazines or movies, I think it’s beautiful. When I see it in real life, I think the wearer is high-maintenance.

              Talk about a double standard.

I was in the grocery store some time back and this woman was dressed beautifully, high heels, not a hair out of place and my first thought was “Geez, you’re just grocery shopping like the rest of us. Get over yourself.”

Then I felt like an ****** because I immediately thought, “She’s probably stopping here after work or before a date, and I’m a jerk.”

While I’d never wear heels of the sharp-stiletto kind, the idea of getting dressed up to go out like that… it’s fun once in a while. Certainly not an every day thing, but once or twice a year, having a reason to get that decked out, it’s kinda fun. Like playing the role of a fashion model for a few hours. It’s the complete opposite of the jeans and sneakers I live 99.99% of my life in, and that's probably the allure of it.

              • JonnyR I've definitely heard some men say that, too, sort of going along with the mindset that was saying (thinking someone is high-maintenance).

Honestly, I feel like most women like getting dressed up every so often, but most of the time, comfort is preferable. It's fun sometimes because it's different, and it can make you feel confident and sexy, but a lot of people do prefer comfort on a day-to-day basis. Maybe the "special occasion" aspect of heels adds to their appeal.

                • When I was a phonesex op I had several clients who were super into shoes and feet. One of them actually had sex with shoes--open toed stilettos.

                    • At the time I thought it was pretty silly. Since then I’ve learned a lot more about fetishes (and the people who live with them) and find myself fascinated by the rich tapestry that sexuality is.
