  • Glad to be here!

I found this site via my subscription to another writers’ site...and boy, I’m glad to be here!

I haven’t been published since the ‘70’s-‘80s, but that is about to change. For less than $300, I have the opportunity to buy a computer, an external hard drive, and a printer. All are necessary for me to write, as I write out my first draft by hand, then print it out to correct. All of my articles are rewritten either in my head or on paper. I love to research, and always include a plethora of references to prove my claims. My papers and their assertions are watertight.

I’ve written articles in college that my professor said were good enough to be published. On the last day of classes, he pulled me aside to tell me this:
”Forget about accounting. You have a natural gift for writing...and you’re wasting it.”
He & my mother were in agreement, as my mom had been saying that for decades.

I’m a 60 year old asexual woman who can only feel sexual desire for someone I love dearly. I can write articles on anything, but prefer to write about science topics (especially medicine), and hope to someday be able to write my way out of SSD, & resume working.

    That’s about it for now.

To all of you, take care, and I hope to make some friends here.

I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.
    ...
Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

    • Welcome to WH!

I love writing, too: and having a computer makes writing so much easier. You could download grammarly: it is free and one of the best editing programmes on the market. I would Google it.

Anyhow, I have had my work published, as well. A great, nothing-to-pay publishing service, is Lulu.com. I have four books published with them and have had nothing to pay. Another publisher is United P.C but there are costs with the service. I would Google Lulu.com first.

      I do hope I've helped.
