No. I have a tendency of not always putting the right meaning to my words.
Long and short though is that sometimes we put too much thought into what may or may not happen.
If you feel that you are in love with him then don't wait and wonder how he'd react. It's how you feel.
We can drive ourselves crazy with "what if's". I know, I'm crazy already.

you say it when you really mean it, and not when you think it may or may not elicit a response.
when it's the right time to say it, you'll know...Comment

I agree, that word carries so much stigma with it, both negative and positive, I typically use it very sparingly, and raise an eyebrow when someone just throws it out there without anything behind it.
You could tell someone that your falling for them without dropping the "L word" though, you can still convey those emotions without it if that's what your feeling.Comment

Mam
We all start to feel "smitten" love is such a huge word, we love things about them, love being with them, love the touch, the laughter, the words, love.
CD told me "I think I'm falling for you"... we played the game for a bit, you know, "no you already have" but didn't use the L word, keeping to smitten and falling...
It comes out when you mean it, when you feel it and you should never, ever, feel ashamed, you are who you are and you should always be who you are, and say what you feel.. Or, else, your not being yourself..
We've jumped now to having said it.... And, it is a beautiful feeling.
Remember, we are all different people... Some can be open and other's think it and don't say it.
Loads of threads of "why doesn't he say he loves me?".. Not all guys do, but to know that his lady has feelings strong for him, is a good thing. After all he wouldn't be in the relationship if he didn't want it to head that way.

But I... "tactfully"... started off by saying, "what would you do if I told you I loved you?" I can't remember what he said, but I guess it was something encouraging, cuz then I said it!
