"I think law school has caused me to overanalyze everything (as if being a woman wasn't bad enough )

I always sit down and try to ratinonally think through things, but ultimately, in my life, I've found I'm better off if I really trust my heart and go where it leads me instead of always thinking so much"

I ran across this little tidbit from another thread.

Now, time to start putting this into action.

ky, please relax and enjoy everything about him. This relationship obviously feels right for the both of you. Don't kill yourself over every little thing.

My own personal feelings are that when I question whether or not I'm moving too fast, the answer is most often yes. You can learn alot about someone in 2 months....but little in the scheme of things. Obviously there is no time limit on love, we are all different, but I just know that i've never dated anyone that I knew after a few months. Everyone deserves true love, and I believe in true love. But I also believe one should "guard thy heart, for it is the wellspring of life". He may be a totally wonderful guy, but his situation is sticky right now with the seperation/divorce etc and I assure you that to some extent, he is "proceeding with caution". You do the same. Don't over analyze your feelings....it's too soon. Be you, let yourself feel, let yourself enjoy this new relationship and get to know him. With time you'll figure out what he likes, what he doesn't, what he considers stepping over the boundaries, etc. Just be you.

It's always scary when new into a relationship, to start acting like a "woman" that's what we do, cook, clean, it's a feeling of belonging and a feeling of loving.

They know that. They have mums

I remember re-arranging the entire batchelor dining room including candles, as he used it for junk, and the bathroom.. Shirt myself.. But, he was appreciative and thought that it was cool, special.

Your man is stressed.. Your relieving it by doing what your doing, just don't do it 24/7 then they expect and take advantage.

        Your doing fine.

Thanks CW I mean, I know he's been very interested in learning things and he asks me lots of cooking questions when I am making things and about cleaning stuff. I feel like he appreciates it all, and that he is truly glad to have the help. Just last night, he sent me cleaning questions because he wasn't sure how to handle something and he had a prospective buyer coming by today.

I know I am stressing way too much. I guess he is the first person in a long time that seems appreciative of the fact that I am trying to help, and that doesn't seem so standoffish... In the past, guys took it as me trying to invade their space (which is probably why I should have realized that they weren't the person I needed to be with).

I am just nervous It's not so much that I feel like things are moving too fast on my end or that I'm not also being cautious. The fact is that the older you get, I think as fun and exciting as it is to fall in love, you also realize that it's potentially painful and I just keep dilligently looking for a sign that he doesn't want to be with me... I haven't seen any, which is wonderful... But I don't want to get all wrapped up in someone and miss it... Then again, I don't want to spend so much time analyzing that I miss the fun part too.

            Update

So the beau and I hung our last night. We had a really nice (albeit brief evening) after classes last night. He reiterated to me that he was stressed about work, and it wasn't me. He was just tired of going through the grind, and this was a stressful time of year, but he was very affectionate and even tried to cheer me up after my bad day (even though he also had a long day).

It just reminded me that I really *am* overanalyzing way too much. I keep stressing aboutwhat might happen and it's crazy because it might not ever happen. and when I talk about thinks in the future (even if it's just a month or two in advance) he never skips a beat or gives me any indication that he's even imagined we wouldn't still be dating then

I feel like a very lucky girl, and I need to stop letting my stress level affect other areas of my life that are going well
