Romance Blues
Hello, I came upon a story that caught my eye about a lady who had been in a relationship with a gentlemen for years and he has not taken marriage seriously. I too am in a relationship, now going on 6 years and I have brought my marriage however I seem to feel we are at a dead end. I feel like I have asked and at times it feels like I am begging because I want to have more then what he wants. He is my best friend but maybe it is time to say good-bye. -
A good relationship constitutes " best friends", but it also constitutes alot of other things.
Apart from the fact that he won't marry you at this point in time, (which could be fear or past baggage) what is the relationship like?
If you were to have positives about it and negatives, could you list those? And, if so, list them here so we can get a better idea for you.

If he was totally in love with you, he would overcome any fears and doubts to marry you, if that is what you wished. He would also take care of any baggage. My feeling is that he views your relationship more as a friendship or an ongoing love relationship than overpowering love. The relationship being 6 years old goes along with this, in that the totally in love feeling usually doesn't last that long. Maybe spicing up the relationship and taking some time apart may produce the reaction you are looking for.I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
