    Sexting?

A lot of my girlfriends think that there is nothing wrong with sexting or sending nude photos of themselves to their boyfriends via cell phone. They say that their boyfriends are really appreciative of it and it turns them on. But what about my girlfriends? What do they get out of it? I know, being a woman, that I would never send a nude photograph of me to a guy I am dating via cell phone regardless of how much he begs. I have issues with my body, as most women do, and don't want any guy I am dating to be able to use those photographs to blackmail me into sex or anything like that. Some of my girlfriends do different kinds of kinky things with their boyfriends because they fear, deep down, that those photos will be seen by people they know and even ones they don't know.

Luckily, right now, I am not dating someone, so I don't feel pressured to expose my body for a guy's gratification. Even if I were dating a guy, I don't think that I would feel comfortable sending him nude photos of me on my cell phone. I am not happy with my body. I think my boobs are a bit odd shaped, but I don't want to have plastic surgery. I feel fat and bloated a lot and that is with my clothes on, let alone with them off. When I try on clothes when I am shopping, I can't stand the woman who looks back at me in the mirror. I think she is fat and ugly, so a nude photo of me would be even worse.

So ladies would you ever send your boyfriend a nude photograph of you via your cell phone?

    Hi pluck,
I was very against sending nude/suggestive photos until I met my partner. I was not confident about my body either but have found that knowing how much he loves the photos really has upped my confidence. I find that sending these photos turns me on too, mostly because turning him on turns me on. I like knowing I can have that effect on him :P.
This being said, it's really important you only ever do things our comfortable with. A guy should NEVER force you to have sex, blackmail or not.
I can't stress enough how important it is to only send photos to a guy you've known for a while and trust completely. Guys can be ******s, we all know that, and you don't want your photos to turn up anywhere.
Only do what you feel comfortable with and if you decide to send a picture to someone make sure you're sure. You also might like getting a picture in reply!
    Hope the helps!

I also am very insecure... I have done those kinds of messages before for a one day kind of thing because I did not know how to turn down somebody who tended to talk to me in that fashion... but never did I send any nude photos....

I do regret doing that because it turns out that the guy I sent those kinds of messages is someone who I'll have to work very closely for a whole year. I know he's a very nice guy and in a way I am glad its someone I know and seems trustworthy, but still I do have thoughts once in a while about this....

I'd definitely agree with Emswifty in this that if you ever feel comfortable enough to sext a guy, make sure its someone who you can trust not blackmailing you into sex or make you feel threatened by those in any way. A guy who cares about you shouldn't make you feel scared.

I have been with my boyfriend for 5 months and this kind of thing has come into conversation at least once I think, basically he thinks it's a bit odd having a picture of his girlfriend naked on his phone, which tbh I agree with, no matter how comfortable I am with him, I would never send a naked picture of myself to him. Some ex's of mine have wanted me to do the same as it was a long distance relationship, but they wanted to sext and see naked pictures before we did anything alike in person! I felt really uncomfortable with this and didn't do anything of the sort. I am also very insecure about my body but when I'm with him and we're getting intimate, I forget all about my insecurities. This has actually never happened with ex's, but my current boyfriend makes me feel so good about myself because he really couldn't care less if he thought I was imperfect because he doesn't see me that way (so he tells me).
His attitude about naked pictures is, why would he need a naked picture of me when he could see the real thing?

I wouldn't judge anyone who sexted (hope that's the right way to say it? lol) with anyone or sent naked pictures of each other, as long as they know they won't get blackmailed with the pictures or anything else. It's their own fault if they're sending pictures like that to people who would blackmail them.

Regardless if you are secure enough to send photos of your naked body to someone else or not, it is not a wise decision. Someone you trust now may later turn into someone you can't trust. It's pretty easy to plaster someone's photo all over the internet. I wouldn't want any controversial material popping up if my name were Googled. Think of the effects on future jobs, relationships, etc.

It's tempting to do things for other people to make yourself feel good. Of course it feels awesome when you show yourself off to a guy and he fires back all kinds of compliments. But that won't be worth it in a few years if he chooses to use that photo as ammunition during a fight or breakup.

I had friends in college who dealt with malicious boyfriends who published their pictures on various websites, including their name, where they lived (!!!), phone number. It was awful, and even if those girls never had any insecurities before they sent the photos, you had better bet they had some embarrassment after all that went down.

          JUST DONT DO IT.

I know there's at least one revenge porn site where people can link the photos to Facebook, your business - whatever!!! lets be honest... even when thinking of your worst ex - in the beginning, could you ever imagine he would do such a thing?
