    is my approach all wrong?

So I just asked this girl out the other day. She said she wasn't interested. Ordinarily, thats not a proble...just move on to the next girl. But the thing is is that that was my third rejection of the month. Except for one girl, I've never actually had a girl agree to go out with me. I've had a good number ask me out or drop hints, but I wasn't interested. So overall, I have a success rate of 1 out of 20. 5% is a pretty **** poor statisitic...so I'm wondering, is it possible that I'm only attracted to girls who aren't attracted to me? Is that even a thing? Like maybe its a medical disorder, like hyperrejectionosis or something.

Attraction is a fragile thing, but no, it's not medical. Biological maybe.
    What is your approach?

That sucks, a_dub. It'd be good if the girls you're attracted to would hit on you.

Could it be you have some special standards and you aren't "following" these standards yourself? I give an example. It could be you're attracted to girls dressed very finely. But you don't dress the part yourself. Another example: it could be you're attracted to women who are very open and direct, but you aren't like that. And yet another example: it could be you're attracted to girls who are fit, into sports, but you don't look/act/appear at all as if you were into the same kind of thing. And another: it could be you're attracted to very intelligent women, the types with doctorates, but you haven't finished school yourself. These are just stupid examples, of course.

If you have very high standards, that's fine and perfectly legitimate. But you'll have to accept the people you approach have the same standards and, perhaps, you don't fit their bill. Those girls you've rejected may be asking themselves the same questions, now: "why?" The answer is simple: it just is. But it doesn't solve the problem.
