The things my bf says to me.

Like i have mentioned in previous posts, my bf doesn't like for me to ask him a lot of questions. So the other day i asked where was he coming from and he said i shouldn't ask a grown man where he is coming so he didn't tell me. Well, all day yesterday and today he has been telling me that he loves me. Im thinking maybe he is feeling bad about what he said and that is his way of apologizing. I have been told in past relationship he has been badly hurt. I dont know if that has to do with how he acts some times. Just need some advice on this situation.

Well Sasha, your boy friend being hurt in a pervious relationship. Still doesn't give him the right to treat you bad for asking him simple question. My feeling what is he hiding. For myself I tell my wife everything I have no secret and if I told my wife the same thing as to go ask a real man lets just say I better be ducking from something being thrown at my head. I would have come back with real men know how to apologized correctly when there wrong. But you could be right this is how he says I am sorry by saying to you that he loves you repectly . But he,won't come out and say he is wrong for his remarks he made towards you. I myself would really think twice will your relationship last with him on his feeling of being question by you sometimes . So unless he really changes his ways with you. Then you can go forward with your relationship with him I say so good luck Sasha, I really think you going to need it with BF.

If I asked hubs where he'd been and he responded as your bf did, he'd be looking for another woman because I won't tolerate being disrespected or juvenile retorts. The first thing I'd think with his response is that he's been somewhere he doesn't want me to know about. And if he's been somewhere he doesn't want me to know about, then there is a reason such as illicit activity or cheating. I'm not saying your bf is involved with something shady, but if I were in your shoes, that's what would be running through my mind.

During the dating phase, people normally put their best foot forward. If treating you poorly is his best, then he's not much of a catch. This isn't the first time he's reacted this way. Maybe in past relationships his machismo got the better of him and his partners gave him the boot after being treated poorly because they realized they deserved better.

If you perceive his running around for two days telling you he loves as an apology, then that stinks. He should already be doing that, not because he screwed but because he truly loves you. Evidently, this nice treatment isn't the norm.

My advice: Tread carefully and evaluate whether or not tolerating his behavior is the way you want to spend your life.

I would agree with the above responses. I am just wondering if you give him the feeling of no freedom or do you ask him where he is each time he steps out. Other then that it seems he could be hiding something and he was certainly disrespectful. I had one relationship going back some years. She would ask sometimes in a controlling almost demanding way. I did not appreciated it after this became her standard response over and over again. I probably did say something (not exactly) like your bf did after getting tired of it. I was not hiding anything like seeing another women but I may have spend time with some people she did not care for. I did not feel I had to explain everywhere I went and felt she did not control who I was and had to be friends with.

There is asking questions and asking questions. I'm an open book and my man can ask any question. He has all my passwords, etc. However, if he'd start asking too much, like he's trying to control me, I wouldn't tolerate it. The reason I'm an open book is because I know he trusts me and I trust him. If I felt he was feeling the need to control/survey/police me, I wouldn't accept it.

Talk to your boyfriend about it before it becomes a real problem (assuming it isn't yet).

            He's hiding something.
I mean if that was all you asked and it wasn't in like an interrogating tone or something like that. This is not a normal answer.

Some people are just more closed off , they may have been harassed about things in a previous relationship, and some do have an odd view of relationships and how to interact with the opposite sex. He could just be defensive because of those things. It doesn't have to mean he's hiding anything or what he's hiding may not be anything bad. Maybe he's just concerned what you would think about something he does in his off time when it's not a big deal to other people. I had a bf you couldn't get a straight answer out of because he didn't want to risk admitting to anything he liked right down to food preferences just in case someone thought it odd.

I try not to complain about anything. I'm just going to see how things go. Maybe we will last, maybe we wont.
