    word choices and subliminal messages

someone I have known for about 3 years has only ever referred to her boyfriend-fiance-husband 3 or 4 times by name in front of me. The only time was when she had some angst over what was basically a non-issue she had worked herself into a tizzy over. As recently as last Monday over lunch she said "my husband" while sliding her wedding & engagement rings almost all the ways off her finger.

Am I just over analyzing or does this mean something?

Great making threads up for personal reasons

I used to love saying "husband" when he rang, and he would say "wife" it kind of makes you feel married... haha

But, i think most will agree that if in a cheeky mood you would extend the name, "mikey", if peeved you would say "michael" and if general, help with this you would say "mike" and then when your really peeved , better not go there.

hey, I'm not hiding that at all!

And yes everyone, this is about an emo thing I have with/for someone! But I'll spare all of the details for brevity.

closed my eyes and asked: what did I want, and then what was the right thing to do.

cut the rope and going through all the pain that's associated with it. hurts like #### every single moment, but is the easiest choice I've ever made.

Doesn't mean I still wouldn't like to know!

Maybe she's reminding herself that she HAS a husband?
But interpreting someone else's body language can be risky. You're bound to put a connotation onto it that isn't there, and end up making a fool of yourself.
Stay away from married folks; it's worthless.

we were friends before she got married, so it's been tough cutting the rope. But thanks little. I know you are right.

Or maybe she is subtly reminding you that she is married.

Eh... I dont think I would read to much into it. I have known people for years that refer to their spouse in conversation as my husband or my wife. As a matter of fact, as recently as two months ago a friend of mine refered to his wife as my wife. I started to laugh and said I was going to call **** my wife when I talked to her. We were standing in a group of friends and I turned to another one and told her "and I am going to call *** my husband" Even though I have met both of their spouses and we all get along well and share bits of our lives together, we are all prone to refering to our SO as my husband, my wife, my boyfriend, my girlfriend, my insert lineage here.
