I asked him and he says it is nothing. I do believe there isn't something serious between these two...but how hard is it to reserve those words for special people, your wife, your mom, your sister, your god mother or people like that. Not people you've known, only online, for around a year. I asked him not to say it to other females he wasn't related to, or weren't truly special and he just didn't get it. Really, he then started asking me "well where do I draw the line?"....like I wasn't clear enough when I said "I don't want you saying I love you to those you aren't related to in some way or married to."

I know that there will be some who don't see an issue....but I would NEVER say it to any other male. Gay guys, guys who are friends, even second cousins aren't blood enough for me to feel comfortable saying it to. Not necessarily just for me....but I don't do it because he would FLIP out. He'd be so upset whether I meant it or not! Yeesh....he got freaked out years ago when I was going to go to a reunion and it turned out an ex was going to be there...needless to say I didn't go because it upset him.

I guess it's just one more thing we disagree on recently. I think the words should be reserved and not tossed around to who ever. He just thinks they are words. :P That makes me feel great. :P

They email each other online frequently through Facebook. She is involved with someone who I know she loves deeply, but it upsets me. I don't feel like I'm being silly on this issue and how I feel about using those words with people...but boy am I questioning everything recently. :P

Is she's the only woman he tells this to other than you and family, it's odd. If it's like him to 'love' everyone, then it's his character and the way he perceives the word, which would take several years for him to change, if ever.

my fiance says love ya, and love you...to many different women who he is good friends with, co-workers, mentors or whatever. and it doesnt bother me not one bit, because he never says "i love you" to anyone but me and his family, and even still its usually just a "love you" to family. he just has a big tender heart, he is always saying thank you, he's in no way flirtatious so it doesnt bother me at all. i feel lucky that im the only one he says "i love you" to. and i get to hear it several times a day!
