    PS3 addict husband

My husband and i have been married for nine month now. When we got married i knew he liked playing but i did not know how extreme. Now he would spend all day and night playing with his online friends. I would come home from work and we would talk for a few minutes eat dinner then he would go back to his game. At first it didn't bother me because i took the oportunity to watch my soaps. However i can only watch tv for may and hour or two then i have to find other things to do or just get ready for next day work. He on the other hand can spend hours after hours playing the same call to duty black ops game. I have told him how i feel about it and how i hate for him to play for so many hours and not pay me any attention at all. How i hate to go to sleep alone and he still playing his game. He thinks i dont know what time he comes back to bed but i do. He would come to bad some times a 1 or 2 in the morning, wakes me up wanting to talk and i hate it so i get mad and snap at him. I am wron for gettign up set? what else can i do to fix this and get him not to play for so long or so often?

I've had gaming problems with my husband as well. I got suggestions of other threads to read through, so I'll pass it on to you. Search addicted to wow. Spending hours everyday playing video games will start to break down your relationship. It's very upsetting & confusing to feel like you have to compete with a toy. My problems got a little more complex as we drifted apart. I don't share the obsession with gaming, so it's hard to understand why a person would spend so much of their life in front of a screen. I hope the other threads help.

It is very fustrating and upseting at the same time. I just dont know what to do any more. I dont want to sound like the nagging wife but i have no other choice. I have talked to him many time and he'll stop playing for a few days but then goes back to the game. thanks for listening.

Tell him you're missing out on his attention, but you're tired of waiting for it & go out without him. For me, it's worked better to make sure my husband knows what I want, then make it obvious I'm pulling away from him if I don't get the time with him that I need. You could invite him to go out with you, but the nagging's not gonna work if he's not listening. It seems like it makes it harder for them to change anything if they know you're sitting there waiting for it.
