Help!(Nuva Ring)
So I screwed up what week I was supposed to take my nuva ring out and I definitely had unprotected sex with my boyfriend when I would normally be ovulating(because of taking ring out) I didn't take the ring out , so does it continue to give off hormone still? if I still had it in would it still be working, or would it be like I had taken it out anyways because the 3 weeks were up? if anyone knows it would be really awesome if you could let me know! -
I was alright...
Hi, it turned out to be alright for me. I think just taking it out, and waiting for a week to put another one in is the best option. If you are within 24 hours(? not sure what the time frame it has effective use in) of having unprotected sex and you have access to it, the emergency contraceptive(ec) pill might be a good idea. If you take it, it might make you later than you would normally be to get your period, it always does that to me. Good luck, I hope it all works out alright!Comment

thanks sooo much for the response! unfortunatly i'm already out of the window for the morning after pill, so i just have to wait and see..
i should have taken it out on Monday the 1st, but forgot until thursday the 11th!!!! do you think i should put the new ring in on monday like usual, or do it on thursday, so my body had a full 7 days w/o it?
again thank you!Comment

you need to leave it out for seven days and just acclamate yourself to the new schedule. If you don't have the full seven days I think it would be bad for your body. Also if you are really worried go and get a ept test, if nothing else you will have a little piece of mind while you wait you know.Comment
