    ok so i'm sure there is probably a thread here about this & i didn't see it (sry for being a noob) but i need a bit of help. i just went to the doc for a change in birth control. i was taking yaz but i have been having alot of dryness so i wanted to see if changing my birth control would fix it. i had plans to either get another type of pill or try the patch but she highly recommended the nuvaring for my problem. i was already worried about going with it (i had the mirena once & i got horrible cyst from it). she explained the difference between the 2, so even though i still wasn't comfy with the idea i tried it anyways. now i feel like i should have listened to my instinct, i'm having problems with it. it's not a problem of getting it in there so much as it not going in very far. i tried laying down, standing with one leg up, squatting, even tried the tampon applicator. & every time i tried i was pinching the sides. i can't use the tampon applicator because i can't get the nuvaring all the way in the applicator so the little plastic pieces on the end scrape the heck outta me! & i had surgery about a month & half ago to have torn skin up in there removed, i don't want to go through that again. it is going in but i don't think far enough, i feel like i'm one tiny push away from popping it out. i can feel it almost immediately wen i barely even insert my finger, maybe a bit less than 1/2 inch in. is that normal? if not wat else can i do? why won't it go in any farther? my husbands says i just need to keep trying, it may take some time but i'm getting very frustrated & upset cause it seems like all the people who had this problem didn't try one of the methods i already tried & it worked for them. kinda makes me feel like something is wrong with me. can anyone help me
    I used NuvaRing for maybe 7 months a few years ago and there is a trick to getting it in the right position so you don't even feel it.

    hold it in your hand so you're pinching the sides together so it kinda looks like a figure 8. I was always able to do this part standing up...it was easier. slide the NuvaRing into your vagina and push it up as far as you can with your finger. once you feel it towards the bottom of your cervix push the side closest to the opening of your vagina up toward your cervix too so it kind of encircles your cervix. This make it sort of lay against the bottom of your uterus and the muscles in your vagina will keep it there. This is how I always wore it and never had any issues with it coming out unless I was being intimate with someone.

      yeah, i tried that, i did away with the nuva ring about a week ago cause the reason it wasn't staying in was i didn't have enough room for it, wat the doc said. plus it felt like i had a bubble constantly trapped in there, not comfy.
