Am I The Only One Who Had Esure Done?
I had the semi-new Esure procedure done back in Nov 2006 and while I love he idea of never having another baby I have noticed that since the procedure I have had massively heavy periods. My doctor said that it could become heavier but is it something that is happening to other women? I mean I'm soaking through pads and super tampons within what seems like less than a hour and I've done the checkup thing thiniking I'm accidentally knocked up or miscarried and everytime I'm told its just heavey flow and its normal. But is it normal for most women? Or am I the only one on the planet who feels this way? I suppose it may be worth mentioning that I've spent most of my menstrating years not menstrating because when I was 16 I discovered Depo stopped my period all toghether and have been on that for the better part of 10 years. I don't remember my first 5 years though being this heavy or the few years off and on I stopped Depo to have my two children so why is it so heavy now? I think it is my BC method. Does anyone else have this problem because of Esure? -
I know this post is quite old but I figured I'd respond anyway in case others had the same question. My period did change after I got the procedure. I used to have moderate periods the first three days followed by and off day and then two light days. Now I have two heavy days followed by and off day and two moderate days. One thing I did notice and it could be from using a diva cup instead of pads but I haven't had a single yeast infection since I got it done and my periods do not smell bad anymore. Not saying Essure is to credit for that but just something I noticed after the procedure. I do know a friend who had the depo shot for over 10 years and when she finally got off it to have a baby she had periods that would last up to two weeks sometimes and had so little as two weeks in between. She had a horrible time conceiving and they thought she would be unable to carry a baby to term. Fortunately she was able to. It might be a combination of the two but I do know it is common for your period to change but if you notice any pain I would suggest you see the doctor who did the procedure.
