Spotting on birth control? Pregnancy? Help please
Hi. First, I've been on Portia birth control since December, and have never been more than an hour late with my pill. On May 3, I had genital-to-genital contact with my bf, he rubbed against me w/o a condom, but ejaculation didn't occur anywhere near my genitals and occurred well after this. My period was due May 14 and it came right on time. It was heavy the first two days with clots, and I had cramps, which is normal for me. It then started to taper off a bit, but I still had bleeding, enough to stain pads and with some clots. I took my active pill a day earlier (which was Tuesday), and after that only had brown blood, which I do get sometimes. But, today, I had a little bit of bleeding, just noticeable on the TP. It only happened once. Could it just be the pills or should I be concerned? please help -
It doesn't sound like anything to be concerned about. If you've only been on the pill a few months then your cycle is probably still settling in to the birth control.
I'm not familiar with that particular pill, but some birth control can cause constant spotting if you skip the non-active days. I doubt taking it only one day early would trigger this, but it could be something to keep in mind.
