Missed taking a pill and possible pregnancy worry
Four days ago I had sex without a condom because I usually rely on taking birth control. I didn't realize I had missed taking the pill at my normal time of 9pm. I had sex around 12:30am. Later that night/morning at 3am I realized I hadn't taken it so I took it then. Then silly me forgot to take my pill the next night. Should I be worried or should it be okay since I still took my pill the night I had sex? -
What type of pill are you on? If you're not sure, what's the brand name?
You missed it the first night at 9pm, had sex later, then took the pill late at 3am right?
The next night you missed your pill again, did you take it later? If so, what time?
Have you took all other pills when you needed to?Comment

5 hours late is fine. The problem comes when you miss or skip several pills in a row. There is a rough 3 hour window when you can take a pill everyday, it is best to stay as close to a regular time as possible but life does get in the way and maybe you were stuck in traffic and could not get home within the 3 hour window...that is fine. As long as you take a missed pill as soon as you remember you are fine. Just make sure you stay on top of taking future pills so the same mistakes do not occur, set an alarm if you have to or put the pills in your purse to always have on you...whatever would suit you best. There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.Comment
