Plan B twice in a week - effects?
Hello all. I have been on birth control for 10 months, but the doctor took me off of it for a week last month due to medical reasons. I was told to restart it after my next period, which is supposed to be this coming weekend. So I guess I made a mistake the first time - he pulled out about 10 seconds before finishing himself (I think it was ovulation time) but I took a plan b 2 days after, just to be safe. Well, later that week, 5 days later, we had an accident with the condom and I was forced to take another one. I was wondering has anyone else taken this pill twice in a cycle and what were the effects on period, or is it different for every woman? I am nervous and also cannot restart my pills until I get my period (hoping I will :/ ) and if it is delayed awhile, not a good thing. I know at this point, all I can do is wait this out but maybe if someone went through the same thing I could get a sense of something. Thanks in advance. -
The effects are random. You may start bleeding, you may not. You may miss your period for awhile or you may get multiple ones in a month.
Why do you have to wait for your period to start pills? I always just started them when I got them since my periods were not very predictable. You just use a backup method the first week at least but preferably the first month. They aren't fully effective until 3 months anyway. -
I actually wish I had just started it back when I was okay to restart. I guess the thing is now I have to wait for my cycle to be sure everything is okay and that plan B /next choice worked. :/The effects are random. You may start bleeding, you may not. You may miss your period for awhile or you may get multiple ones in a month.

Thanks for the input. I took plan B before, and I was fine, cycle started when it should have and was a normal "period". But since it's been two times in a span of one week - I guess it makes sense that the effects will be random.Comment
