    Switching Pills

I began taking birth control pills mid-July of this year, and switched my birth control mid-November. I was originally taking Junel but it was not regulating my periods or helping with my cramps, so my doctor switched me to the generic form of Jolessa which I have been taking for three weeks. Does anyone have any idea of how long it should take Jolessa to be effective at preventing pregnancy for me? I began taking my new birth control after I finished my pack of Junel, including the iron pills. I believe that both types are combination, estrogen and progesterone pills.

If you start a new pill right as you finish the old pack then you are covered. Just so long as there isn't a gap there.

Thank you, there was no gap!
