    Neverending problems with thrush

I don't know if anyone can help with this.
I have had thrush for over two years and it is really getting me down. I can't even have a smear test which is not good because I have had laser treatment before.
I have the strain called candida glabrata and the doctors here haven't even heard of it! I can't get any of the treatment that the canadian pharmacists advise and have only had clotrimazole and Fluconazole. The last I had 7 times 150mg and not even that worked. But it is written everywhere that it is resistant to it! So no surprise really. Can anyone help please?

You might want to try boric acid suppositories. A compound pharmacy can make them; it's supposed to be good for yeast, even though it seems like an odd thing to put up there. Also, I've heard that putting cuts into a clove of garlic (garlic is a great antifungal) and inserting it is supposed to help with yeast. Aside from that, I'd start taking some probiotics if you aren't already. Introducing some good bacteria might be able to help combat the yeast. You could either eat yogurt or just buy some acidophilus tablets if you don't like eating it. Watch your diet too. Try to cut out as much sugar as you can, don't eat processed foods and try to avoid things with yeast in them. If you search online you can find several websites and books about anti-yeast diets. However, I'm not sure if it'll all be any different since you have glabrata yeast and not the usual candida. Anything would be worth a shot though.

You can make the Boric Acid suppository's yourself!! But you can find the Boric acid in an off beat pharmacy, like a Mom and Pop pharmacy. It's very cheap, then you can get the capsules (gel/clear) at a health food store, and fill them yourself. I asked the pharmasist how and he showed me. Boric acid stops the itch, but causes a horrendous discharge. You will need to use a pad for sure. I used it for months on end for yeast. It stopped the itch, but never cured me. My yeast has persisted for over a year now. I've done all the home treatments and exreme diet. It's a long story that I will post seperatley. Try the boric acid though. It is a safe treatment. Just don't inhale it. I'd make mine wearing a dust mask!! Keep away from pets and children!!
