missed period by almost two weeks?
I've been due for my period May 30/31, but it still has not come. I plan on taking a pregnancy test although highly not likely since the last time I had sex was the first day of my period last month (April 28th) so there was no egg to fertilize. And before that, I was celibate since October. But it's still really worrisome. Also I changed my diet by going vegan (I was vegetarian 6 months beforehand) I don't think I consume enough calories but I'm never hungry so I haven't changed my habits. and also started to exercise more. I'm in the average category for BMI and the ideal range for body fat so I'm not anorexic which is known to delay periods. So, what do you think could be the problem? -
Are you sure you're getting all the nutrients you need? A lot of people just rely on calories to determine if they eat enough, but if you're eating all your calories in foods that aren't nutritious, then it could cause your to not have your period. Being underweight/overweight can stop periods, but so can not getting proper nutrients into your body. -
I had bloodwork early in May and the results were low in iron. And just based on what I eat in a day, I'm not getting enough protein or fat. I eat a lot of fruits and veg and some whole grains, legumes, and nuts. But what chances are that is a matter of nutrition and not pregnancy? I am so paranoid, sorry!!Last edited by liz9355; 06-07-2012, 05:04 PM.Comment
