    Weird period troubles

I got my period fairly early, fourth grade, and didn't get it again for six months. This happened for about two years then it started coming every three months or so. Now, it's back to about every six months. Along with the period trouble, about the time I got my period, I started having stomach trouble. I got sick with rich and greasy food. I went to the doctor, and they assumed it was my gall bladder, so I had it removed when I was fourteen. I thought things would get better, but they got a lot worse. I couldn't eat anything without getting sick, with the exception of a week of relief. There was always a lot of abdominal pain, too. Over the next few years, I attempted to get things under control without paying attention to what was happening. Now, I'm seventeen and things have gotten a little better. I'm guessing the bad stomach irritation was part of the aftermath of surgery, although I still have stomach irritation which is part of my question. I've noticed I get really bad stomach irritation about one week out of every month with a lot of cysts bursting. I have pelvic pain, nausea, abdominal pain, leg cramps, back cramps, stomach irritation, foggy head, headaches, trouble sleeping, and constant urination(sometimes to the point where I feel like I have to pee, but can't). With all of this, I still don't get my period. Should I be worried? Can the stomach irritation be part of the ovarian cysts?(I've already been diagnosed with ovarian cysts) Is this more than just ovarian cysts? Anyone else going through the same thing?

You sound like you have a condition called endometriosis. I'm not a doctor but your symptoms nearly are exactly what my GP told me one gets with the condition - irregular periods, pelvic pain, urinating more frequently, abnormally bad cramping, etc.

This is not a fatal or unfixable condition. In fact, for many taking birth control can stop the production of menstrual cells leaving the fallopian tubes and going to other parts of the body which causes the symptoms and pain. It seems it would be the best option to go to a gyno as soon as you can and mention all of your symptoms which definitely ring true of endometriosis and see what they say. It sounds like you're suffering a lot from this surprisingly common condition.

I agree with venusinfurs, my mother suffered horribly from endometriosis and what you described up there sounds a lot like what she told me about it. Go see a doctor, a female one if you can, and get it looked at. If it is endometriosis you can get treatment, I hope you start feeling better soon!!
