Anyone know how to remove bv from clothing?
So, I have an ongoing problem with BV. My boyfriend just went to the doctor, who told him that I should throw away all of my underwear(and my pants, because I was told by a nurse that not wearing underwear is better for my vaginal flora) in order to avoid giving myself BV again. This is a problem, because I work a minimum wage job and I can barely afford all of my bills. Plus, I just broke a tooth and it's probably going to take me years to pay that off. On top of that, I just had to get a complete engine rebuild including transmission that cost me a good $1600 with fluids and all. Not to mention the Bv is a recurring problem for me, so I can't just throw away all of my clothes every time it shows up. That being said, I'm wondering if any of you ladies have any good remedies that I could use with my laundry detergent to successfully kill the bacteria on my clothes. I can't find any information online regarding the topic. I was thinking I could possibly boil it out, but I don't have any pots big enough to fit a pair of pants. I would need a cauldron. haha -
Chlorine should do the job although it's not good to put chlorine in underwear. Try using vinegar.
I think what the doctor was saying is that not wearing panties is better for you. Wear lose fitting clothes. At night, don't wear any panties. If you can avoid them during the day, that would be great. Don't wear tight fitting pants or spandex. If you do have to wear panties, where plain white cotton ones.Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose - Kris Kristofferson and Fred Foster (sung by Janis Joplin) -

Why use Super Shield Laundry Protector Plus ?
From the uniforms you compete in, to the towels that you dry yourself with, to the equipment you use to gain the competitive edge are also competing in an invisible hostile environment. Defense Soap’s Super Shield Plus guards the apparel & fabrics you compete in from transferring harmful microbes to your skin.
Inhibiting microbial growth vs. destroying them
Microbial contaminants like bacteria, fungus and viruses can survive for months on fabrics, regardless of how often you wash them, making it easier for them to transfer to equipment and or people. Super Shield Plus ® mitigates this problem by providing an invisible layer of continuous antimicrobial protection on all fabrics.
The Microbe-Barrier Technology works — not by inhibiting the growth of bacteria, mold and fungi —but by destroying them.
One step process
Super Shield Plus is a one step treatment easily applied through the wash rinse cycle with your regular wash. Super Shield Plus Laundry Treatment also continually and proactively prevents odor, staining and deterioration without reducing or performance. You’ll soon notice the absence mildew smell and sweat odors on towels and clothes.
One 2 oz treatment lasts up to 30 washing's. As I understand this to mean, if you use 2 ounces on only a load of Underwear, it should Protect/ Shield them for 30 washing's and do your other clothes in a load or two. They should be Protected for 30 washing's also.
You can find it online by Googling or Binging , " Super Shield Landry soap/ Protector "
It's about $25 bucks, but it says it lasts for 480 loads. So over a year at least .
I understand your financial problems , we all have them, some worse than others
But $25 a Year , is only like $2.50 a Month ( less actually ) And sure as Heck a lot less than new clothes and the possibility of re infecting yourself over and over
I'm very limited income also, but I ordered the 32 Oz one, I'm going to give it a try myself. I read that our Clothes, Fabrics can hold all kinds of Germs and Viruses, even from people that just sneeze and let the bacteria and Viruses out in the air, they stick to the fabrics we wear and Wham ,we are sick or we get sniffles or sneezes , sometimes it's just " breathing from our Clothes " that are on our skin ..
I'm not a Germophobic, but I sure want to try and stay healthier and not get sick from Viruses or Bacterial infections, if I can help it .
