PCOS & Maybe endometriosis. Had enough! Any suggestions appreciated

Symptoms started around three years ago, when I became pregnant with my oldest son in 2010

I was suffering with irregular bleeding/ discharge. Pelvic pain. Severe lower back pain (& still am)

I went on to have a little girl in 2011 & my youngest son in 2012.

Whilst pregnant with my youngest son I was referred to a specialist who did nothing and discharged me straight away (I guess as I was pregnant and they couldn't do much)

7 months after birth, after severe continuous problems I returned to the doctor and FINALLY back in June the doctor sent me for a scan and it came back I have severe polycystic ovaries.

I had the implant out after finding I found out I had PCOS so the doctor could define what was making the symptoms worse. the PCOS or the implant (that has a whole lot of side affects on its own such as bleeding/ pain and so on)

After removal the symptoms calmed down but i am still having and irregular bloody discharge they are still there and really depressing me!

this morning my doctor has referred me to a gynea and give me metformin and a whole lot of tablets for my constant migraines. as now they think I may also have endometriosis?

I have no idea what to expect when I go and see the gynea. does anyone have any similar stories or ideas what is wrong with me? I have had enough now : (

Mine is more mild, but I do have PCOS. Both of my children were conceived with help to ovulate. The second was actually from the the help of a naturopath. I've always had irregular cycles unless I was on birth control pills. My first post partum period after my first was born lasted 6 months and kept getting worse and worse before I got desperate. My hormones were way way out of whack and I ended up taking progesterone based birth control pills for 2 months to make it stop, and that helped me go back to my normal sucky 3-4 periods a year.I'm in no way saying this will work, or that you should try it without consulting a doctor first, but this is personally what helped me resolve my symptoms:Vitamin D deficiency was one of my problems. I've been on supplements ever since. That can make PCOS symptoms worse. The other thing that was suggested was Inositol. It works a lot like metformin does.I had normal regular periods and was ovulating regularly about 2 week after starting the Vitamin D and Inositol. For now I'm waiting for my post partum period to show up from my second but after she finishes breastfeeding I plan to go back onto Inositol to manage my symptoms.. and Im hoping it'll help keep my hormones in check enough that I won't get horrible bleeding again like last time.Having irregular periods from PCOS can cause a really thick lining to build up and it can be horribly painful with cramping and very heavy, even clotty bleeding. At least that was how my situation has been. I don't have endometriosis, but have been check for it because of the symptoms.I hope all goes well and you're able to get this figured out and resolved.

Staying on hormonal birth control keeps my symptoms under control. Otherwise I get cysts the size of golfballs, random periods with so much blood I go through a heavy tampon and heavy pad every hour, I'll go 3 or 6 months without a period and then wham I'm out of commission for a week, acne, random cramps... Yay for seasonique which doesn't even have inactive pills. It has lower dose pills every 3 months so I don't have a week of acne and cysts building during my period and I only have light bleeding. I only need a medium tampon on days I do martial arts and a light one the rest of the time.
