    Ovulating

Hi, I have a question about my mentrual cycle. I am supposed to be ovulating right now, I keep track of it on a calendar and it's fairly normal. Well I had produced a rubber glob of discharge with a small amount of blood with it, and then a couple days later I'm bleeding brown discharge/blood. And it's enough to soak through my underwear, and it's almost like a second period! It's going on day 3 now. I do not take any birth control medications either. Can someone please help me out and explain what's going on? Thank you.

Maybe the glob was cervical mucus. Brown blood is an indication of blood that has been around for a while. Fresh blood is red in color.

It doesn't sound alarming to me dear. Could be just old blood your body is getting rid of, it's hard to say.

Are you sexually active? Have you had a yearly exam? I wouldn't be too concerned, but if it does continue call your doc office and set an appointment for exam.

Blood that is brown indicates that it has been around for a while. Red is the color of fresh blood. Several days following the end of menstruation, old blood starts to leave the uterus. an extremely light flow-filled time that is just starting. pinkish-brown ovulation spotting, which can be. I wouldn't be overly alarmed, but if it persists, call your doctor's office and schedule an examination.
