frequency of phone calls
How often should I call my boyfriend? I've been dating him for about 2 months now. He calls me everyday. I've been calling him like once every 3 days. Do guys like to be called everyday? -
When I was dating my former SO, he would call every night at 9pm - his cell rates were free at that time, my daughter was in bed, and we could talk for hours!
I think it's great that he calls you daily, and I doubt he'd mind if you called more frequently. It probably depends more on the timing of the calls tho. I know I can't talk at work for more than a minute, and I'm not really in my personal mindset there anyway.
Why not just ask him? After all, he'll be calling soon

Some guys don't like to be called everyday as per experience. That being said, if he calls more often, you should be thankful. Don't worry about the frequency of your calls. what matters is the quality of conversation you have during those times.
I would say, let him call you and just call him as you used to. The more he misses your voice, the better. The more he initiates things, the better you'll know he is really really in to you.
In your stage, let him do the "hunting".Comment

Thank you. He seems like he's really into me. He bought me flowers for Valentine's day & he's taking me out to see a movie this coming weekend.Comment

I'd say call him whenever you have something to say. If you're calling just to call... I'd limit that, for sure... as it can come off as clingy , needy, and even annoying/boring if its just hi. and silence type call.
If you have a question, if you want to make plans, if you thought about something you want to share with him, have something funny or interesting on your mind... call to your hearts content as long as its not while he's at work or some hobbie activity or when you know he's sleeping.
You can gauge his reactions. Is he laughing , uh huh'ing, engaging in conversation, does he sound happy to hear from you? Does he ask you things too? Are his answers abrupt and to the point ? Is he quick to make an excuse to get off the phone?
If you get the vibe from him that he is not wanting to talk on the phone, pull back a bit and don't call him EVERYtime you have something to say, but every 3rd time you have something to say
Basically I think if your in a relationship, and you like the person you are with and they like you. Its nice to talk to them, you like to hear from them, and they like to hear from you.
But do call him in the way you'd call any friend and by that I mean, call when you have something to talk about and skip it if you don't.Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.Comment

Mary, how often do you see him?
Seems like you don't get together very often during the week.
I don't believe it should be a one way street, but if he's calling you everyday, then he's serious.
It should be a case of doing what you "feel" like... You call because you want to call.
A text message goodnight/goodmorning is also very welcoming in a new relationship, especially if you've worked out a nickname, or can add something warming, or funny, or sexy without being forward..

i will add from a guys perspective. If i were into you enough to call you everyday and you were only calling me every 3+ days i would be a tiny bit hurt and start to wonder if you are even into me..
just thought you should know"I met in the street a very poor young man who was in love. His hat was old, his coat worn, his cloak was out at the elbows, the water passed through his shoes, - and the stars through his soul."- Victor HugoComment

I think it really depends on the person you are calling. For instance, me and my boyfriend will ring each other proably 2-3 times a week, but we text every day. My brother and his girfriend phone each other every day and are on the phone till the early hours of the morning - and my sister and her boyfriend will only text each other - never phone, as they like to save their convos for face to face.
I think phoning whenever you want is fine - but YOU will know if you are being to clingy. Especially if you are the one in the relationship always doing the phoning.
