I just wouldn't feel right doing that and would NEVER date anybody who was doing that behind my back.

    :/
I get it. I didn't mean that you should go around dating random guys just because. As I understood, if you both are serious, it means you are each other's priority, and he shouldn't feel like "but the boys don't like you". I mean, are you sure you are both in the same page? Does he know for sure what he wants? Do you?

It's a good thing you two have not moved in together. It's too soon...7 (or so) months...too soon. And even if I've been dating a guy for a year or two, I wouldn't move in until we're married. It all depends on what you want, what you can and cannot take. What are your boundaries? You are 26 years old, and not a "20 year old bar start" as you said, what are your standards of "the one"?

His friends are probably threatened by you, since you seem like a smart and a straight forward gal. I'm not actually worried about you as you seem assertive and more matured. What I'm worried about is him - (an assumption you can make me wrong - ) he doesn't seem relationship ready. You're right to not go so fast. 2 years is just about the time when infatuation subsides and then you see the true colors. Hence, just go out and enjoy your life - your friends, male or female. When I suggested for you to go out, I didn't mean cheating or sleeping around. I just meant, meeting people and just be. You're single and for as long as there is no marriage proposal waiting for you on the table, I'd say, don't put all your eggs in one basket. Be the chooser, not the one waiting to be chosen by him...get it?

I get what you're saying. I just don't think I fit into that mould you're describing. I'm a pretty commited person. When I'm in a relationship, I'm in it fully. I do need to take a step back and start to get involved in things that interest me. Get some hobbies and distractions away from just my be all being my boyfriend. That has been my downfall in the past and I recognize that and want to avoid it.

I do however, want his roommates to like me. They have been standoffish and so childish. Silent treatment the whole bit. It's a little laughable really, they act very moody and girl like. I'm hoping that since one of them has a gf now he may settle down and get over himself. My expectation aren't high though. They've been cocky for years and that attitude takes awhile to change. My bf however is the nice more mellow one. The guy who was alway available when his friends had women. He didn't make a scene. But it's suddenly a problem when he has a girl who cares for him. He says I'm changing him for the better and that he wants to be with me. That's all that matters. Eventually his friends will have to deal. Maybe not now, not a year from now but at some point their life situations will change as well.

Good. Very good. Join a fitness class, volunteer in humanitarian groups (if you're that type), photography is a good hobby, (I love it, together with cross-stitching - they both give me the sense of "me" time in my silent mind), or if you can, join an Aikido class or any martial arts.

I was told by a wise lady in this forum once that the quality of time you spend on your own greatly impacts the quality of time you spend together. I was clueless as to what it meant then, later, I discovered and until now, married with the man who was one of the reasons I joined this forum...I still adhere to what that loving soul told me.

You cannot please all the people around you, I know you know that. And they might or might not end up liking you. There's really not much you can do, just be yourself. It looks like your BF is just caught in between - transitioning from being "single" into being with the woman he loves. He'll figure it out. In the meantime, focus on your PLAN A: get a hobby.
