How do I make myself more apprachable/ should I approach you?

    Ok ya'll
I am recently became single (3 months ago), after being in a in a relationship (well two actually) for a total of six years. I really like this one guy although I know it is an unrealistic situation, and I want to find a distraction.... I go out to bars often, and I am in College, so I know that there are many opportunities to meet new boys (not looking for anything serious just a fun person to hook-up, go on dates, spend time with).
Sometimes I see guys I think are cute, but I don't know if I should approach them.... if so, what would I say? I don't know, Maybe I'm out of practice? Maybe I never learned how to date.
Guys, Gals.... help a sister out.

Eye contact and smiling is a good start.

There's nothing wrong with approaching men. The only thing I would warn off is being too direct when you approach them. Just walk up and do a bit of small talk, give him a compliment, and leave it up to him to make it work from there. Won't work every time, but it at least puts you out there more.

Also, if you're a big fan of jewelry, avoid wearing any ring. From far away they might not realize that ring isn't on your left hand or your ring finger and assume you're taken.
