How do I flirt with him?

I'm going to TRY and make this as short as possible! Any advice is much appreciated.

A couple weeks ago I was out with my two closest female friends (I'm female as well) and they randomly thought I should meet their old college friend, Nick.

I just got dumped a couple months ago and I've been struggling with feeling like a complete loser and alone since most of my friends are coupled up.

We were already at the bar so one of my friends text him to see if he wanted to come out and I remember her saying something how one of her friends (me) thought he was cute. He was already out but said to invite him next time.

A few days later I was on my friends Facebook page and I decided to look him up, he's very cute, tall, average, a little nerdy, just my type.

So the next weekend my friend invited him out to "catch up" on Friday (they hadn't seen each other in 2 years, since she knew him she's gotten married). She also invited our other friend who knew him and that friends BF.

My friend swore that he didn't know I thought he was cute and this wasn't some sort of set up. I was still really nervous (I'm painfully shy and I don't know how to flirt) and even though he sat next to me I had a hard time talking to him. Besides that they spent the night catching up anyways. I didn't feel completely out of the loop, but I also didn't really feel like he was trying to pay any attention to me.

When we went out separate ways I told my friend that I was interested in getting to know him and if he asked me out I would say yes, but also that I didn't feel like he was interested (keep in mind I never think anyone is interested in me). She said that he is just really shy so she invited him to our Friendsgiving this weekend (Thanksgiving dinner with friends), to which he said he would come.

I really hope he does, she said that she would invite him out when we all go so that we can get a chance to get to know each other. I love her for doing this, but I feel like I need to take matters into my own hands and flirt with him.

The problem is............I don't know how!!!!!!! Can any of you give me tips on what to do this weekend so that maybe he'll get the guts to ask for my number. I feel like he could be interested and he would ask me out, if I just gave him a little nudge.

    1. Be yourself! :]
    2. Introduce yourself if you haven't and try to start a casual conversation just to get to know him, you need to get out of your comfort zone.
    3. Try to relate to him with what you and he have in common for hobbies.
    4. Maybe at the end, you can exchange numbers.
Take actions little by little. Get to know him more and see if he really is the guy for you :]

First girl, be confident!! To do that relax, look him in the eye and carry on a genuine conversation. If you find yourself uncomfortable about talking, ask him something about himself. Most people like talking about themselves and that makes them feel comfortable. If he feels comfortable with you, and he sees you are comfortable it will be a great thing!
