I still can't get over him.....

I have guy friend who is a great friend but I know isn't right for me as a partner....and I still can't get over him. I dated a few guys since him....who were really nice and I did like them but I could not get romantic with them as I would immediately start thinking about and missing my friend. I had to end the relationships because they wanted something serious...and it really wasn't fair to them.

How do you get over someone if you can't stop thinking about and missing them. Do you think I should keep trying the dating thing... or just wait until my feelings pass.

    Thanks for your input..

the only way to get over heartbreak..is finding another person to fall in love with. you gotta keep on searching.

Keep dating and enjoying yourself until you find someone 'like' or 'better' than him. Because you will, it's only a matter of time.

It was very mature of you to end the relationship knowing it wouldn't be right and you didn't want something serious. This should also tell you that you will definitely find a better friend and partner.

If you "know" he's not the one for you, possibly more so he didn't give you what you needed, deserved, then at least you met some qualities that you liked, so now you simply ensure that the person you fall for has the same qualities, and doesn't have the things you didn't like....

That's what meeting people is all about, same as friends... You don't be-friend someone who thinks completely different than you do, you by-pass her and be-friend likeminded people...

Same will happen, the guys you've dated may have wanted to be more serious and yes, you may not have allowed them into your heart but, I'm betting they didn't show you what you needed, deserved, so it didn't "click"...

It will, when the right one comes along....
