I was single for a while and now I met a guy, who is much older than me, but lots of fun. I am not sure if I should date him though, as there is no potential future in this relationship. What would you suggest?

It depends. If your goal is a permanent relationship, then an age difference might be a problem. OTOH, there is nothing wrong with dating someone just for the enjoyment of their company, with no long term plans, as long as both of you are on the same page.

I agree with the others. The only thing I would add is the question of why this older guy is interested in you rather than a more seasoned women? Sure, guys are always physically attracted to younger women. But why is he more comfortable with younger women? Because they won't see his flaws? Because he can ****le them? Because he needs his ego stroked? Because he is immature? I've seen plenty of younger women naively think that this "mature" guy is interested in me because I'm "more mature than my age" when the truth is the guy's immaturity and character flaws have turned the age appropriate women away.

Just keep your eyes open.

It is possible for older men to be interested in younger women because they (the men) still feel young at heart and don't enjoy the company of overly "mature" adults. I think this is fine for short term dating, but needs real thought for a long term relationship.

Well, my boyfriend and I have a 6 year difference. My grandparents had a 13 year difference. But all the same, you can still have happiness. Just don't let your ages define you. Be whom you are and let that be enough.
