    KILLING ME NOW!!!!!!

First of all im a guy who's going through a bad situation with a girl and would really appreciate some female advice.
Ive known this girl for over a year now through college and we flirt alot and text eachother often.. we go cinema with friends often and we ALWAYS sit next to eachother and we hold hands and lean on eachother and sometimes look intoeachothers eyes.

Out of nowhere she went cold on me and started to ignore me, we went back and forth for several months and only now we've started getting closer again, we went to the movies with friends again today and on the way i offered her my hand to hold and she pulled away, so then we went into the movies and she made the effort to sit next to me we were teasing eachother at the start and she grabbed my hand and i kind of pulled away so later into the film i went to grab her hand and she told me to leave her alone and she ignored me throughout the whole film.

Where do i go from here, this has been going on for too long and its started to hurt alot, everyone says she likes me but she acts so strange. She hasn't had much experience with boys, very self conscious and i think is afraid of commitment. She shows obvious signs she likes me at times but goes cold on me and it really confuses me.

She sounds very shy. Maybe try to avoid any signs of physical affection for a bit and see how things go. Also remember that you aren't even really dating, and maybe this isn't going to work out.

Have you ever talked about having feelings for each other? There is definitely mutual attraction, and it sounds like she's not sure how to handle it. Maybe she's panicking and isn't sure what she wants, but it sounds like she's trying to take time to figure things out. Were you ever officially dating, or has it mostly been a "flirtationship"? I think it may be time to talk to her about whether or not you're dating, and I think she should know what your feelings about her are.

I'm not totally sure what's running through her head, but it could be a lot of things. She could be afraid of committment, or maybe she's expecting you to make a move, or maybe she's interested in someone else. I think it's definitely time to make your feelings clear to her. She may react well, or not, but at least things will be clearer.

There may be something she is mad at you about that she is unwilling to tell you about or let go. Every time you are getting close, she remembers it unless it slips her mind.

You've known each other long enough to have a conversation about it. If you want this to turn into more than what seems like a friendship, you have to tell her. It's possible that she likes you and expects you to be direct about it, especially if she's very shy.
