Maybe something simple like giving him a bottle of chilled water would start the conversation.I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

Well, if you don't want to make the first move, then just cast a glance in his direction, smile and make eye contact if you can. Then let him make a move if he wants.
Guys are shy, or lack the strength to put themselves out there too, so, be open to a natural, organic development too. If you're in close proximity, saying hi isn't making a romantic overture. Don't think too much and let it flow

Guys who have been burnt too many times may not be willing to put themselves out there again. Generally, though, if you want something, go out and get it.I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

I have to agree with jns: if you want something, you have to go out and get it. There is no magic formula to attracting a person. You just have to be brave and talk to him! Nothing comes to those who wait and hope. OK, maybe sometimes, but if you take too long, someone else will get him. I'm not trying to push too much, but I really believe you can get to know him. But that'll only happen if you speak to him.
Again, I am sorry to push, but hoping he'll talk to you will not result in anything. GO FOR IT!!!Comment

I second your advice, Lialia270.
I hope Jupiter Girl has made her move by now! If she hasn't, someone else must've gotten him. It is a fast world and if someone does not make their move quickly, the person will be snapped up faster than the speed of light. It does seem sad that someone would let shyness stop them getting their crush in bed, to be blunt. I wouldn't wait around: I'd quickly make my move. I suppose I am as fast as the world.
Again, I hope Jupiter Girl dealt with her shyness and has made her move.Comment
